Notes
CD reissue of the fantastic 1973 LP All In An Afternoon's Work by The Terry Cavendish Orchestra.
In actual fact, the tracks from All In An Afternoon's Work came from the Cavendish Library record "Cavendish No. 9" and The Terry Cavendish Orchestra was a group consisting of the cream of library session musicians; Ray Davies, Alan Hawkshaw, Herbie Flowers, Denis Lopez, Alan Parker and Alf Bigden.
Along with the superb funky, groovy and easy Big Band sounds of All In An Afternoon's Work, we also get 7 more killer Cavendish Library tracks from "The James Janson Orchestra", "First Collaboration" and "The Ray Davies Orchestra".
PLEASE NOTE:
All the tracks (except one) from All In An Afternoon's Work also appear on Standby For Swing.
This CD (the one you're looking at) does, however, have 7 tracks that don't appear on any other compilations we stock.
But to confuse things even more - Standby For Swing also contains tracks that don't appear on this CD. I know it's complicated and a bit of a balls up, but at least there's plenty of great tracks to choose from!
