Notes
This is the first ever CD release of Lalo Schifrin's wonderful soundtrack to the exceptional 12 hour TV miniseries from 1985, A.D. (AKA Anno Domini).

A.D. - Anno Domini was considered the third and final installment in the TV miniseries trilogy which were all co-written by Anthony Burgess and began with Moses the Lawgiver (1974) and Jesus of Nazareth (1977).

Covering the years 30 to 69, A.D. - Anno Domini chronicled the lives of Jesus' disciples and events in Rome during the reigns of the Emperors Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero.

In 1985, a BBC Records LP was released of the A.D. - Anno Domini soundtrack. This premier CD release has been remastered from Lalo Schifrin's own personal 1/4 inch master tapes and contains all the music from the original LP (except the track "The Majesty of Rome" which wasn't included due to a damaged master tape) along with 28 minutes of previously unreleased material.
