Bob Crewe enjoyed major success in the 60s by writing and producing for major acts including Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, Oliver and Freddy Cannon.

"Music To Watch Girls By" (the Diet Pepsi-Cola jingle) was transformed into a top 10 smash hit, which led to several successful Bob Crewe Generation albums. He personally selected the 18 tracks for this Best of The Bob Crewe Generation CD from those albums.

Most of these songs on The Best of The Bob Crewe Generation are being issued on CD for the very first time! This first time collection is a mix of songs associated with Bob Crewe ‹ "A Lover's Concerto" (The Toys) and "Let's Hang On" (Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons). Well-known pop songs are also represented such as the theme to "Barbarella", the '60s sexy cult classic staring Jane Fonda. As a bonus track, the mono single version of "Music To Watch Girls By" also appears.
