Notes
Bit of a no-brainer really for Tummy Touch, who wisely follow-up their reissue of KPM's classic The Big Beat with this - Alan Moorhouse's The Big Beat Volume 2 - another superb library record from the KPM 1000 series (KPM1067).
The Big Beat Volume 2 has some mighty shoes to fill but effortlessly delivers the goods and in places even betters it's more illustrious predecessor. The decidedly Meters-esque Pop Pastime, the classic Expo In Tokyo and the ridiculously heavy drum break at the start of Soul Skimmer would be enough to make most record collectors hand over a weeks pay but add the hard rocking Heavy Bopper and mind bending Psychodale and you have an album that can carry the Big Beat name with pride.
Please note: some of the tracks on The Big Beat Volume 2 appear on some library music compilations we stock. 'Boss Man', 'Soul Skimmer', 'Heavy Bopper' all appear on Exclusive Blend Vol 2, and 'Soul Skimmer', 'Heavy Bopper' and 'Expo in Tokyo' all appear on KPM Soundclash, 'Expo in Tokyo' also appears on the now out of print Music for Dancefloors: The Cream of the KPM Music Green Label Sessions
