Notes
In their quest to bring us even more great music, the guys at Crippled Dick have been plundering the archives of the legendary MPS jazz label out of Germany. This is a superb CD containing some fantastic dancefloor funky-jazz - take a listen - we're sure you'll like it. Fantastic stuff.MPS was founded by musician Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer in the late 60's and was considered to be Germany's first independant record label ultimately releasing more than 700 jazz records.
German artists such as Albert Mangelsdorff, Joachim Kühn, Volker Kriegel, Wolfgang Dauner and others were joined by many of the international greats such as Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington, Jean Luc Ponty and Monty Alexander to give MPS an excellent reputation for high quality, progressive Jazz releases.
