Notes
The sublime electronic soundtrack by Vangelis from the cult sci-fi movie Blade Runner directed by Ridley Scott (from the Philip K. Dick novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep).
Since the movie's release in 1982, there have been numerous bootlegs of the music from Blade Runner and two official albums. The first official release was actually orchestral adaptations of the themes from the movie!
There's something of a mystery surrounding why it took twelve years for Vangelis to release his music, but we're glad he did.
Released in 1994, and containing recordings Vangelis made whilst working on the soundtrack (but not the original cues nor even all the music used in the movie), this CD is considered to be the definitive release of the music from Blade Runner.
Dreamy, evocative, beautiful and essential.
