Notes
Yay! This is Bod: Words and Music, an audio-visual celebration of Bod - the character from the successful British childrens books and tv series from the 60s and 70s.
On the Bod: Words and Music CD we get the themes for all the characters in Bod (Bod, Frank The Postman, Farmer Barleymow, Aunt Flo and PC Copper) along with interesting interviews with Derek Griffiths (who wrote the music), Alison Cole (the oldest daughter of Michael and Joanne Cole, the creators of Bod) and Alan Rogers (one of the animators of the Bod TV series). Also included on the CD is original narration by John Le Mesurier taken from the TV series. The whole thing lasts for around 40 minutes and is pretty much like listening to a radio documentary all about Bod!
In the accompanying Bod: Words and Music 12-page full-colour booklet there's a wealth of Bod pictures and information!
2005 is both the 40th Anniversary (first Bod Book 1965) and 30th Anniversary (first Bod TV Show 1975) of Bod.
