Notes
Ratman (1988) is a low budget horror movie about a savage rat-like man (dur!) that lives on a carribean island. It was directed by Giuliano Carnimeo starred David Warbeck. Demonia (1990), from cult director Lucio Fulci, is about a team of archaeologists in Sicily investigating the ruins of a crypt where heretic nuns had been stoned (sounds great!) and crucified (not so great) by the villagers in the 16th century.
The soundtrack for Ratman (from Stefano Mainetti who also scored some of the Michele Soavi movie Deliria) is pretty damn cool - with a typical 80's horror vibe - atmospheric and quite 'dark-ambient' in places. Giovanni Cristiani's Demonia score is more of the same - but it either sounds like he's trying to recreate an orchestral sound or there's actually some 'proper instruments' going on in addition to the synth work. All in all a cool CD.
