Notes
Yep - you read that right. This is the soundtrack for the 80s cult low-budget gore shocker The Deadly Spawn!
You remember The Deadly Spawn; 'orrible slimy spawn offspring slithering across the floor and getting chopped up in peoples salads... the Deadly Spawn itself - the large, bloody phallic Alien with hundreds of teeth and no eyes... the low-budget gory effects and graphic deaths....
Anyway... as we were saying...this is the long awaited release of the superb The Deadly Spawn soundtrack - a classic bit of 80s electronica that uses all right spooky chords and sounds just great. From the moment we played it, it brought back the memories of watching this cool horror movie back in the 80s, beer in hand and ready for some laughs.
Along with the 11 tracks from The Deadly Spawn soundtrack, we also get a 12 minute suite (Spawn, But Not Forgotten) which is music composed and performed recently by Perilstein, for the purpose of combining the atmosphere of the original movie, with a hint of how it might have sounded had it been scored for the first time today. It's good too!
