This CD contains for the first time ever, all the killer crime-jazz/funk tracks and cues that accompany Inspector Callahan (Eastwood) as he tries to track down a serial killer in San Francisco.

Schifrin had previously worked on two other Eastwood movies; Coogans Bluff (1968) and Kelly's Heroes (1970) and so jumped at the chance to provide the music for this Don Siegel produced thriller.

For this CD release, Schifrin returned to the original mult-track masters and mixed them (for the first time ever) in glorious stereo. Essential.
