Notes
John Barry's grammy nominated soundtrack to the 1963 ABC TV special Elizabeth Taylor in London where Liz gives a personal tour through London history; set in Battersea Park, before the Houses of Parliament and in a bombed out East End church.
Along with Barry's sweeping orchestral score, the soundtrack also includes dialogue from the movie in which Taylor recites the poetry and speeches of Wordsworth, Churchill, Pitt, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Elizabeth Barret Browning.
Such was the success of Elizabeth Taylor in London that producers Philip D'Antoni and Norman Baer decided to repeat the formula with Sophia Loren in Rome, with a soundtrack again, by John Barry.
This CD has a running time of 35 mins.
