As you're probably aware - these are from three of Sergio Leone's classic westerns. First up is the brilliant A Fistful of Dollars (1964 - AKA Per un pugno di dollari), starring Clint Eastwood, Marianne Koch and Gian Maria Volonté. This is the classic soundtrack that defined the music for most spaghetti westerns that followed. Morricone composed a unique (at the time) sound that incorporated whip-cracks, electric guitars and of course - Alessandro Alessandroni's perfect whistling! Next, comes For A Few Dollars More (1965 - AKA Per qualche dollaro in più), the second in the Man With No Name trilogy (which concluded with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. This is another superb soundtrack from Morricone - who this time mixes church organs, mariatchi-style guitars/trumpets/castanets and the lovely music-box theme. Finally - we've got the absolutely beautiful Once Upon A Time In The West (1968 - AKA C'era una volta il West) with its tear-inducing main theme (featuring vocals by the extremely talented Edda D'ell Orso), The sinister Man with a Harmonica (sampled by Beats International on their single Dub be good to me) and the ever so slightly comical Farewell To Cheyenne. Perfect.

It really doesn't get much better than this. Worship at the dusty altar of Leone/Morricone.
