John Barry's absolutely beautiful, wistful and melancholic soundtrack to Graeme Clifford's bleak, touching and inspiring 1982 movie Frances starring Jessica Lange and based loosely on the tragic, troubled life of actress Frances Farmer.
Often quoted as one of Barry's greatest pieces, the Frances soundtrack is presented here on a dual format SACD (Super Audio CD), so if you have the suitable equipment you'll be able to take advantage of all the wonders of the SACD quality. This CD will also play on normal CD players too.
