Back in 1987 a low budget horror movie was produced from the twisted mind of English novelist/artist Clive Barker. Directed by Barker - it was his first major movie - and adapted from his novel "The Hellbound Heart", it has since become a horror classic. Two good sequels followed, both featuring the cult character, Pinhead and his gang of Cenobites.

The first Hellraiser movie was a low budget affair, but unlike other low budget movies, it boasted an accomplished and incredibly powerful score from Christopher Young (who also scored "Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2" and the brilliant "Trick or Treat"). Young was also asked to score the sequel (Hellbound: Hellraiser 2) and managed to surpass his work for the first movie. For the third instalment Randy Miller was brought on board and produced a high quality soundtrack. Using the main Hellraiser theme in various forms throughout, it was a far more action-orientated score. This is a brilliant boxset containing some of the most powerful horror scoring ever. A definite collectors item.
