The selections on Hurrah for Malcolm Arnold fall into three classifications; soundtracks, classical and pop and include the original versions of the theme from 'The Belles of St. Trinians' (the popular film series devised by Ronald Searle and starring Alistair Sim and George Cole) and (from Arnold's 'English Dances'), the much loved signature tune to television's 'What the Papers Say.' It also covers Arnold's halcyon years with selections from other hit films such as 'Hobson's Choice', 'The Sound Barrier', 'The Captain's Paradise' and 'Trapeze'.
