Justine was adapted from Lawrence Durrell's literary classic Alexandria Quartet and tells of a complex game of international intrigue and espionage in Alexandria, Egypt involving British expatriates and Egyptian natives between the first and second world war.

Goldsmith's score very much reflects the location and plot - weaving spy-esque motifs with Arabian themes. Lovely strings, harps and accordians. Sounds (in places) very much like the kinda thing that Amon Tobin would sample.
