The first in the superb Kriminal Filmmusik series brings us a quality collection of Martin Böttcher's music from the popular German crime movies Das Schwarze Schaf (1960), Er Kann's Nicht Lassen (1962), Der Fälscher von London (1961), Der Schwarze Abt (1963), Das Gasthaus An Der Themse (1962) and Das Phantom Von Soho (1964).

The filming of Edgar Wallace's crime novel "Der Frosch miot der Maske" in 1959, sparked a craze in Germany for crime movies and by the early 1970s more than 100 of these "Krimis" had been produced.
