La Moglie Più Bella was based on the true story of Franca Viola; a young Sicilan woman in the sixties who defied convention by reporting to the police that she had been raped by her rejected suitor. Her courage set a precedent in Sicilian legal history.

This CD contains the A and B sides of the 45rpm single that was released in 1970 along with the previously unreleased soundtrack taken directly from the stereo master tapes. Edda Dell'Orso provides the lovely wordless vocals throughout. This CD has a running time of 27mins and 48 seconds.
