Notes
If you were a kid growing up in the UK in the 70's then there's a few tunes on this great CD that you might recognise (Theme to TV show Magpie, Original theme to Top Of The Pops), but if you don't then it matters not! Magpie - 20 Junkshop Pop Ads and Themes brings together a brilliant collection of 70's TV themes, adverts, tracks from movies, library music (from The Hawkshaw no less!) and even a couple of trashy cover versions from those "Pick of The Pops" compilations that always featured a nice young lady on the cover and are now seen in 2nd-hand charity shops all across the land.

HIghlights (for us at least) include the fantastic version of Zepplin's Whole Lotta Love which was used as the theme to Top of the Pops for years, the brilliant theme to cult kids TV show Magpie (cool kids watched Magpie, softies watched Blue Peter!), Hot Pants (Alan Hawkshaw), Chopper and... well, they're all good! A brilliantly eclectic CD from the guys at RPM!

Packaging & Liner Notes
Standard jewel case. Cool fold out booklet containing loads of background info on the tunes and also a colour montage of various 70's ephemera on the reverse! Good work.
