Notes
The film score for this cosmopolitan 1965 film was made by the young, up-and-coming composer George Theodossiadis.
Being one of the Jazz pioneers in Greece, he imbued the scenes with compositions that were able to create atmospheres of suspense, melancholy and eroticism whilst retaining a lounge atmosphere.
Theodossiadis used the finest Greek musicians who shared his love of Jazz culture. He created charismatic themes and gave freedom to the musicians to improvise and showcase their skills.
As a result, the soundtrack reflects the Jazz movement in Greece during the mid-60s, with a blend of exotic jazz-tunes, swinging themes and smooth melodies.
It's interesting to note that during the recording session, Vangelis Papathanassiou (a friend of the composer and who later became famous as Vangelis) helped in the special effects on the track "Espial Corridor".
The sound has been transferred from the original master tapes in 96kh/24bit and mastered in class-A equipment to produce excellent quality audio.
