Mark Il Poliziotto was the first installment in the Mark Italian cop movie (or Poliziotteschi) trilogy from director Stelvio Massi. All three movies (Mark il poliziotto spara per primo - 1975 and Mark colpisce ancora - 1976) starred Franco Gasparri as Mark Terzi the tough Italian cop dealing with violent crims, drug dealers and other scum from the streets of Milan.

This is another great soundtrack from Cipriani and a perfect example of the type of music from the genre. There's the fantastic main theme (with those great 70's 'wakka-wakka' guitars) accompanied by a few slower-tempo tunes. As with some Italian soundtracks, you get a fair bit of repetition of the main theme, but it's such a good tune that we don't really care - and anyway - it's used in different styles and it's just too damn funky! There's plenty good stuff on here to make it a CD that'll definately get more than one play on your system. We've been groovin' to it all week.

Contains one extra track over the original LP release (track 15). The main theme pops up on the fantastic Poliziotteschi compilation from Cinevox, Roma Violenta.
