Notes
Two more great soundtracks from Ennio Morricone!
The first is the soundtrack to Umberto Lenzi's 1974 crime-drama Milano Odia: La Polizia Non Può Sparare. Morricone keeps it quite dark, oppressing and suspenseful (but also up-tempo, funky and more gentle-sounding in places) with reminiscences of his score for Revolver.
The second soundtrack is from the joint UK/Italian production Il Giustiziere - the dark political thriller from 1975 starring George Kennedy (shown on the CD cover strangling a nasty crim with an iron chain!) and John Mills and directed by Edward Dmytryk. For the Il Giustiziere soundtrack, Morricone gives us a moving score, with an 11 minute disharmonic, jarring piece for an action sequence (entitled Terrorists!).
Don't be fooled by the short track listing - this CD runs for just over 50 minutes.
