Saved from destruction in the nick of time by Jonny Trunk, a load of music master tapes were recovered from the house of the late, great Mike Sammes.

Mike Sammes was a musician and vocal session arranger who was responsible for much of the backing vocals on pop music recorded in Britain in the 60s and 70s. He worked with all the major and minor British singers with everyone from the Beatles to Andy Williams, Dudley Moore, Johnny Harris, Marlene Dietrich, Burt Bacharach, Sid James, Andrew Loog Oldham, Rolf Harris, Georgie Fame and even Krzysztov Komeda. The Mike Sammes Singers also did work on soundtracks (recording amongst others, the vocals for the Gerry Anderson series, 'SuperCar' and 'The Secret Service') and radio jingles and recorded seven albums between 1962 and 1988.

Music for Biscuits features the best from the saved jingle reels and includes advertising music for Vespa Moped, Lux, TUC Biscuits, soap, Chocolate, beer, ciggies and even tractors.

Music for Biscuits also contains lost music from an unknown film called "Youth", the score to a short film, possibly financed by the Children's Film Foundation.

Scatty, jazzy and often hilarious, Music for Biscuits really is a joy. You will be amazed, impressed and will be singing these odd jingles for years.
