By contrast to his first two scores for the previous Omen movies which had a basis in Gergorian Chant and Catholic Masses, Goldsmith concluded the Omen trilogy soundtracks by using the styles of grand opera. Surprisingly, the soundtrack didn't get an LP release to coincide with the movie's initial cinema release. Varese Saraband eventually released an LP in 1986 which was reknowned for its music but not its sound quality.

This Deluxe Edition of The Final Conflict soundtrack has been remastered from the original masters and sounds absolutely wonderful. Scary as hell, but wonderful.
