Notes
Another cool compilation from Vadim Music, Parties Fines is the first in a series that brings us music that was composed for French erotic movies of the 1970s.
While music from 60s and 70s erotic and porno movies has been the darling of several German, Italian and American compilations, few compilations have yet to touch upon the French contribution to the genre especially when French composers have often showed originality and finesse in putting together carefully composed, classy musical packages for racy films that could have settled for less.
While most foreign productions choose to clothe themselves in the brash, vulgar or shallow (Italy standing apart with its plethoric music production, hiding a number of masterpieces), opting mainly for reams of production music with little personality, French film makers, for their part, rely on the talents of composers often acknowledged as capable of bringing an added sense and sensuality to onscreen frolics. This savoir-faire, at the service of eroticism, brings a hedonistic era back into the spotlight, when the pursuit of pleasure was high on the agenda for most members of a French society in the midst of a sexual revolution.
Parties Fines is the first chapter in a collection inviting you to dive back into the secret meanders of some altogether exciting production music. By plunging back into the golden age of on-screen sex, prepare to enjoy with sheer delectation the shivers of erogenous melodies, void of all taboo, with 15 tracks that vary enrapturedly both pleasures and styles.
The raw energy of Disco and Funk couples with the impressionism of ballads of the more vaporous kind, while the cool romanticism of electronic ditties caresses the snake-like bass-lines, carrying the endless cries of lovers in action.
