We haven't seen the movie for a while, but as soon as we heard this CD we remembered how great the soundtrack was. Composed by Fred Myrow (who also scored "Soylent Green") & Malcom Seagrave, the Phantasm soundtrack is a brilliant piece of work that perfectly matches the stylised surrealism of the movie using a menagerie of percussion instruments, synthesiser, Clavinet and electric piano to create pulsing rhythms, other-wordly textures and abrupt mood-shifts.

It's a great CD that contains variations of the main theme (with some cracking beats!) alongside some really atmospheric tracks - it even features the fantastic disco track "Silver Sphere Disco". We absolutely love the main theme, which incidentaly was used by heavy metal band Entombed as a basis for one of their tracks on the "Left Hand Path" LP.
