Notes
This is Goldsmiths hugely original and modern score for the classic cult movie from director Franklin J. Schaffner starring Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall and some damned dirty apes. Goldsmith chose to represent the landscape and themes by turning musical convention on its head, suggesting the topsy-turvey culture. The stark collection of noises and complicated percussive tempos come at you in bursts, occasionaly letting up to allow you to catch your breath. You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! God damn you all to Hell!!

Also included on the CD is a cool and somewhat funky 16 minute suite (play!) from Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971).
