Digitally remastered and in full stereo, this is an enthusiastic and animated effort by Romitelli which gives clear evidence of his creative genius. The score is, as they say, "all over the map", but Romitelli pulls it off with great skill - for instance the jazz/blues infused title track, a lush romantic piece for strings and woodwind featuring Edda Dell'Orso (You and I), a frolicsome ethnic march (Tema di Joe), a brazenly swinging jazz romp (Gimme Time) as well as a bit of pseudo pop-classicism not unlike the work of maestro Ennio Morricone (Waltz For Two). A worthy example of this underrated composer's noble diligence and full command of the medium.
