Compiled by The Bevis Frond's Nick Saloman, Return Of The Instro-Hipsters Volume 2 brings us 20 more superb groovy instrumentals designed to stimulate and relax in equal measure and explores that brightly-hued subculture which brought together session men, orchestras, rock bands and jazzers in a mirrorball flash of melodic inspiration and rhythmic expression.

This is music which is as evocative as any colourslide of Swinging London - if David Bailey could have photographed sound instead of images, he would have come up with something like this.

Highlights for us are the killer 'Lulu's Theme' (from her late 60s TV show), 'Brooke Bond Beat' - the A side of a single released to promote Brooke Bond PG Tips tea bags and the incredibly silly (but groovy!) 'Fuzz Duck'. Perfect.
