Notes
Two albums on one CD from Galt MacDermot, the Canadian born composer who's most famous for his music for Hair - the 60s musical.

Both originally released independently on Macdermot's Kilmarnock label, these two great LPs showcase his music before and after composing the music for Hair. Shapes of Rhythm was recorded in 1966, and the soundtrack Martine's Movie (AKA Woman is Sweeter), recorded in 1969 was for a documentary about designer Yves St. Laurent.

Space from Woman is Sweeter was sampled by Busta Rhymes for "Woo Hah! I Got You All in Check" and also by Faith Evans on "I Can't Help (Feeling the Way I Feel)".

The phenomenal track Coffee Cold from Shapes of Rhythm was used on the track The Truth on the brilliant Prince Paul/Dan the Automator LP Handsome Boy Modeling School.
