The Gentle Giants was actually was a group consisting of the cream of library session musicians; Ray Davies, Alan Hawkshaw, Herbie Flowers, Denis Lopez, Alan Parker and Alf Bigden.

The tracks by The Gentle Giants were originally published by Cavendish Music on the LP "CAVENDISH 9". The tracks by The Oscar Brandenburg Orchestra have been taken from 3 LPs, originally published by KPM Music as part of their RPM Label.

The tracks from "CAVENDISH 9" were also released commercially as All In An Afternoon's Work by The Terry Cavendish Orchestra.

PLEASE NOTE:
13 tracks from "Standby For Swing" also appear on All In An Afternoon's Work (along with 8 other library music tracks).

This CD (the one you're looking at) does, however, have 14 tracks that don't appear on any other compilations we stock.
