Another world premier CD release from Intrada - this is the much requested Swashbuckler soundtrack; the music from James Goldstone's pirate adventure starring Robert Shaw, James Earl Jones and Genevieve Bujold.

Composer John Addison gives us one of his most rousing, colourful musical set pieces of his Oscar-winning career. The Swashbuckler main theme is an exciting, florid mixed-meter idea for whirling woodwinds and glistening brass. His action cues balance tongue-in-cheek activity with suspense and drama. Adding rich contrast is the gorgeous love theme.

This presentation of the Swashbuckler soundtrack has been produced from the pristine 1976 MCA stereo album masters stored in UMG vaults. Brilliant stuff!
