Starring Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi alongside an all-star cast of musicians, performers and cameos, The Blues Brothers (1980) was the first film spin-off from characters that had previously appeared on the US TV comedy show Saturday Night Live.
The movie tells the story of Jake Blues (Belushi), fresh out of prison, getting together his old band in an attempt to raise money to save the Catholic home where he and brother Elwood (Aykroyd) were raised. Superb movie. Great soundtrack.
