LP version of the absolutely delicious soundtrack to the superb Steve McQueen & Faye Dunaway bank-heist caper cum erotic cat-and-mouse game, The Thomas Crown Affair.

Michel Legrand's cinematic forte was his ability to fuse classical and jazz elements into a seamless, evocative new whole. His sprightly melodic and playful arrangements made him the perfect musical foil for the lush, romantic freedom of The Thomas Crown Affair's visual style.

This is so damn good! Track 9 (The Boston Wrangler) is killing us right now!

The Theme from The Thomas Crown Affair (The Windmills of Your Mind) won Legrand an Academy Award for "Best Song" and was re-recorded by Dusty Springfield who went on to have a top 10 chart hit with it in 1969.
