This is the superb soul/jazz/funk soundtrack from Marvin Gaye to the much respected Blaxploitation flick starring Robert Hooks as the badass private dick "T".

Track 2 ("T" Plays it Cool) is a storming jazz-funk classic and was sampled by DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince on the fantastic "A Touch of Jazz". It's also been sampled by DJ Magic Mike (Murder in the First Degree), Everlast (Pass it On), GangStarr (Take a Rest).

Other tracks on Trouble Man have been sampled by Christion (Full of Smoke), Brand Nubian (The Meaning of the 5%), Ice Cube (Who's the Mack?).
