Notes
A round of applause is definitely in order. Why? Because those tireless folks at DigitMovies have only gone and bloody done it again.
This is the third release in their Bruno Nicolai in Giallo series (the other two are here and here) and they've totally done us proud.
This is the incredible soundtrack to the cult giallo from 1972, Tutti I Colori Del Buio (AKA All the Colors of the Dark, Day of the Maniac, Demons of the Dead etc) directed by genre favourite Sergio Martino and starring George Hilton, Ivan Rassimov and of course, the lovely Edwige Fenech.
We might sound like we're going over the top here, but read on (listen to the audio) and you'll discover why. The original 1972 LP release of Tutti I Colori Del Buio was only 14 tracks - the majority of them being avante-gard atonal music, which, by all accounts was quite a difficult listening experience.
For this CD release, the guys at DigitMovies went back to the original stereophonic master tapes and found a load more fantastic music that was never released on the original (and now extremely difficult to find) LP. This CD clocks in at 29 tracks - that's almost 1hr 20 minutes of classic Nicolai giallo scoring with Edda Dell'Orso providing the lovely wordless vocals and even some Sitar playing from Alessandro Alessandroni.
