Notes
This is the orchestral soundtrack to the 1997 production of Maschera Di Cera (AKA Wax Mask) directed by Sergio Stivaletti, produced by Dario Argento and starring the lovely Romina Mondello.

It's a solid and well crafted score from Maurizio Abeni - with moments of horror, suspense, tenderness as well as grand sweeping motifs and themes.

Maschera Di Cera was planned as the first collaboration between Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci and was the latest in a long line of movie adaptations of Gaston Leroux's novel Mystery of the Wax Museum.

Unfortunately the Argento-Fulci collaboration only got as far as the writing of the screenplay before Lucio Fulci died in 1996. Argento went on to produce and left the directing to first time director Sergio Stivaletti one of the premiere special make-up effects artists of the 1980s-2000s.
