The scene opens on 1970s Milan. Sicilian vegetable wholesaler, Toto Cangemi, is actually kingpin of the city's largest and most lucrative prostitution ring. Everything seems to be running smoothly until "le Capitaine" (a French drug lord played by Philippe Leroy) shows up and tries to convince Cangemi to join forces. He wants to use Cangemi's girls to sell his drugs. Cangemi at first does not agree, but the Frenchman's methods prove to be very persuasive. Add a third gangster (American mobster Billy Barone) and his "violent diplomacy" to the mix and stand back! A pillar in the Olympus of Italian cult flicks thanks to the Spartan directing of Umberto Lenzi and the convincing dark-jazz soundtrack by Carlo Rustichelli.
